Print and Web Editor

This is a great opportunity for you to make your mark; bringing out the best in authors by guiding and inspiring them, and engaging with clients. Duties will include writing, editing, proofreading, and commissioning copy (for print and web) to the highest quality.
You will bring good knowledge of specific audience (readership) needs and have legal awareness to ensure copyright control, good practices and usability compliance.
You will already have good relations with media outlets (papers, journals, etc) and know how to place/sell copy. The job entails overseeing the editing process and ensuring copy continuity and optimising copy for Search Engines.
Skills Required
At least 2 years experience in the book publishing and media sector. Must have a relevant degree, excellent written and verbal skills, desktop publishing, digital editing and design skills, MS Windows and Office literacy essential
Knowledge of various web design and digital editing packages (Publisher, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Director, Flash, QuarkExpress, Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign - or other professional page layout software, Freehand, Premier, After Effects, 3D Studio Max, Final cut pro), ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, XHTML, CSS and VBScript, JavaScript, and CMS desirable.
Based in or near London/Hampshire, you will be expected to be flexible enough to work from office, home and occasionally chateau headquarters in France. You must be sufficiently mobile to attend relevant events nationally and internationally.

Graphics and Web Designer

This is an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented artist who will design creative, aesthetic and eye-catching imagery for websites, articles, brochures, and book covers. You will create animations and video clips for web and media presentations. You will take client brief and generate new and innovative ideas.
You will oversee the design process, ensure style continuity, and enhance web design to maximise Search Engine Optimisation and meet WAI standards.
Skills Required

PR Executive

We are looking for a talented and communicative person who likes working with people and is able to create, identify, and develop business opportunities. The job entails developing PR strategies, writing copy for news releases, press briefings, articles and websites. You will need to extend our media network and manage press relations, liase with journalists in the consumer, regional and trade press, and place articles and press releases appropriately. Client positioning, reputation building (individual and corporate), and event management (e.g. book launches).
Skills Required
At least 2 years experience in the publishing and media sector. Must have a relevant degree, excellent written, verbal, influencing (i.e. persuasive writing) and diplomatic skills, understanding of corporate social responsibility, contingency planning, MS Windows and Office literacy essential.
Ability to develop client image, reputation building (raising client profiles), conduct market research, arrange public appearances (TV, radio, web, etc) and experience of video/radio broadcasting desirable.
